Leale’s San Jose Automotive Repair Mechanics Install Auto Parts Now Bypass Dealerships to Re-Program the Computer.

January 20, 2012

The auto mechanics at Leale’s automotive repair centers in San Jose have been trained and are very skilled with computer scanners to do the very same diagnosis and reprogramming of old/new auto parts that the dealerships charge extra to perform.

Today's new cars require a technical auto mechanic to reprogam installed new auto parts

One of many different types of scanners needed to reset new auto parts after install.

That means you get much lower prices and really fast repair times at Leale’s Transmission Repair & Auto Repair, and at Leale’s RV.

Leale's saves you big auto repair money and new auto parts replacement.

Typical auto repair shops can only replace your auto parts. After that they send your car to the dealership for reprogramming.

Without these skills and knowledge the other auto repair shops can only replace new  auto parts. Then they will have to send your car to the dealership mechanic for reprogramming which will hit you big in the pocketbook.

If you have any problems with your foreign or domestic auto or truck, call Leale’s for free autorepair problem evaluation.

BMW Transmission Repaired Fast & For Less at Leale’s In San Jose

November 30, 2011

07′ BMW 335i 6 speed transmission with 45k miles was repaired in San Jose for $3,700 at Leale’s, but at the dealer it would have been almost 10k.

The BMW Paddling Shifting Transmission was slipping in gear, delivering hard up & down shifting and would drift backwards when shifted into neutral.

No check engine light ever cam on from the twin turbo BMW which made it difficult for the dealer to diagnose. Dealer’s don’t do on-site transmission rebuilding. They don’t train their technicians to rebuild transmissions so they don’t have the troubleshooting skills and knowledge. If the BMW Transmission repair is external and basic they will perform the repair but typically at a huge cost.

Mechatronics Module for a BMW Transmission

Mechatronics Module for a BMW Transmission

Leale’s quickly diagnosed the problem to be the Mechatronics Module (Valve Body with 7 solenoids) and then fixed it for less. But there was also an internal problem that required the transmission to be dissembled and examined. A broken spring was found and replaced as well as a few seals, the transmission was re-assembled, a new Mechatronics Module was installed and the system was reprogrammed to shift and operate correctly.

RV Dealer + Other Motorhome Repair Shops Honoring Factory Warranty in San Jose Unable to Repair Refrigerator.

November 16, 2011

A Class A RV refrigerator was not repairable by the motorhome dealer and other RV repair shops honoring the RV factory warranty in San Jose.

From day one, the refrigerator never got cool enough, kept burning out cooling units and other parts. The refrigerator was eventually replaced, but again, was never able to reach cool temperatures.

Eventually, the RV was delivered to Leale’s RV Repair in San Jose. The Shop Forman, Dan Brake, examined the refrigerator exhaust pipe and found it to be completely blocked. What probably happened was at the factory, during the process of building the Motorhome, the roof was cut out and the vent was installed, but the wood cut-out was never removed from the vent and the sheet metal connecting the vent to the refrigerator was not secured and became completely disconnected. The coach refrigerator was unable to vent its hot air and cool, therefore could never run correctly with the exhaust pipe opening closed. Once the vent pipe was cleared and correctly attached, the refrigerator and vent worked perfectly.

Chrysler Sebring Transmission Repaired at Leale’s in San Jose with just an Alternator.

October 28, 2011

Nationwide Transmission repair shop recommends replacing a Chrysler Sebring transmission, but Leale’s in San Jose solves the problem with a new Alternator.

The owner of a 06′ Chrysler Sebring was also charged about $500 for transmission diagnosis when they removed and towed the Sebring to Leale’s Transmission Repair. The Chrysler had 93k miles, was shifting hard & slipping in gear.

The technicians at Leale’s quickly found the problem to be a faulty alternator.  When the voltage dropped too low, the on-board computer systems began to shut down various systems to conserve electricity which affected the transmission shift control module. The new alternator cost about $300, the Sebring also needed a few new belts and after labor, the owner of the Chrysler drove away only spending about $500 instead of $2,500 at the other shop.

October 19, 2011

Leale’s RV Service & RV Repair Tech Crew Visit the Allegro Road Runner’s at Betabel RV Park near Gilroy, CA. They weighed RVs and freely exchanged questions and answers. Leale’s RV is making a habit of visiting RV groups to provide free tech time to weight each corner of the motorhome and answer any questions a group may have. Once the load weight on each wheel is discovered the pressure for each tire can be set per a manufacturer tire pressure chart.

This will maximize safety and greatly improve handling. Leale’s RV answered any questions the RV owners had an often provide an free evaluation for problems or concerns. This time Leale’s RV service and RV repair techs fixed several minor items on the spot.  Afterwards the Road Runners invited the crew to a game of throwing rings. The MUX technology is fascinating says Wayne, because the CPUs manage different components on the Tiffin chassis and the network runs the commands from one end of the coach to the other eliminating hundreds of feet of electrical wire and possible shorts. The Tiffin Powerglides are leading the RV Motorhome pack with a modern technology series of RV chassis.

05' Audi Allroad Transmission Repair in San Jose at Leale's Transmissions

05' Audi Allroad Transmission Repair in San Jose at Leale's Transmissions

05′ Audi Allroad has Terrible Transmission Noise is Fixed for $1300, Dealer Wanted $6k to Replace. The owner of the Audi Allroad was delighted when Jim Leale was able to isolate the Audi transmission noise to a King Bearing in the rear section of the transmission. The tapered bearing was replaced and all other audi allrunner transmission parts were in great condition. The cost of labor and the king bearing was much better than replacing the audi transmission. Another advantage of working with a transmission repair shop that does all work onsite and never outsources transmission rebuilds or replacements.
