A Class A RV refrigerator was not repairable by the motorhome dealer and other RV repair shops honoring the RV factory warranty in San Jose.
From day one, the refrigerator never got cool enough, kept burning out cooling units and other parts. The refrigerator was eventually replaced, but again, was never able to reach cool temperatures.
Eventually, the RV was delivered to Leale’s RV Repair in San Jose. The Shop Forman, Dan Brake, examined the refrigerator exhaust pipe and found it to be completely blocked. What probably happened was at the factory, during the process of building the Motorhome, the roof was cut out and the vent was installed, but the wood cut-out was never removed from the vent and the sheet metal connecting the vent to the refrigerator was not secured and became completely disconnected. The coach refrigerator was unable to vent its hot air and cool, therefore could never run correctly with the exhaust pipe opening closed. Once the vent pipe was cleared and correctly attached, the refrigerator and vent worked perfectly.
